My name is Nicholas Hallmon and I am in ART 107 at UWM. My major is Psych and Pre-Med and while I hope to impact the health field in some shape, form, or fashion I have always been drawn to photography. I think it's one of those things where I never had a knack for being extremely creative with colors, lighting, angles etc. but when I saw a photo that had any combination of those elements executed in a unique way it would blow my mind. Photography is very intriguing to me because there is nothing else that can convey so many different feelings, emotions, thoughts, and sometimes even weave a story without...well saying anything at all. So I am taking this class to get a better understanding of the ins and outs of photography and maybe even get a little bit better at something that I could never really master on my own. I hope you guys dig what I come up with!

Thanks Nick! I'm sure that you'll do well in this class as long as you are enthusiastic about what you're doing - much like with your music I'm sure... I really enjoy the enthusiasm with which you describe the story behind your photograph... In many ways photography is about telling stories, and I look forward to the stories that you will hopefully share with us throughout this class!
